Lake District open Canadian Canoe Sessions

Open Canadian Canoe's are a great way to explore rivers, lakes and other types of waterways. Canoeing as an activity for groups or individuals is a really fun way to enjoy the outdoors.

As an adventurous activity, it is ideal when you want to take that little bit of extra load, maybe barbeque food for lunch on the lake shore. Using large open canoes you can pack for an overnight trip or just go for a fun day or half-day

canoe adventure.

Using a specially designed sailing rig enables you to incorporate sailing into your canoe experience, just sit back and let the wind do the work.

Our canoeing and kayaking venue is on Coniston Water in Cumbria which is very easily accessed from all around the South West Lake District areas, for example Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Kendal, and Bowness, to name just a few.

Perfect afternoon for a hen do activity Apr 2022
We booked an afternoon canoeing with Adventure 21 for a hen do group of 11. We went out with Dave and had a fantastic time! Dave really read the group well and pitched the perfect afternoon for us. Those who were up for it got wet, and those who were a little more hesitant were able to stay dry and happy. Even though the weather was against us at one point, it did not dampen our spirits and Dave did such a great job at keeping morale up. We canoed to a small beach and had a picnic, before doing an orienteering competition, and those who wanted to had fun jumping off a small jetty.
All in all it was a fantastic afternoon (all thanks to Dave!) and I don't have a single complaint!

Superb again!

Returned to Coniston after last year's visit and booked in with Adventure21 again. Paul was fantastic, everyone really enjoyed the morning canoeing testing our manoeuvring and paddling skills. Next up the gorge walk, everyone out of their confort zone...but was the favourite of the group and most talked about that evening.
The following day, no escape for Paul who took us raft building which was great fun, coming up with a design, building and then testing. We then modified and were joined by another family and then really tested it with 10 afloat. After dinner Kety took us to the range for archery and rifle shooting. Great to see how competitive everyone gets (with creative barracking).
Thanks again to Paul, Mark and Kety.
