Orienteering and basic navigation days for stag parties, Hen weekend activities, school trips, family groups and individuals - Coniston, Windermere, Ambleside, Bowness, Langdale in the Lake District, Cumbria aswell as around the Bolton, Chorley and Preston areas in Lancashire

What is Orienteering?

Let the
Adventure
21
team teach you the skills required to navigate yourself or your group around an orienteering course using a map to gain as many points as you can within a given time.

Orienteering is an ideal activity to get your team working together.
Many people have the impression that orienteering is a less than exciting sport, in fact it's quite the opposite; orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure activity that will push you to your limits! Give it a go!

There are many orienteering venues with set courses for navigation, which we are more than happy to advise you on.

Adventure
21
use many orienteering venues in and around Lancashire within easy reach of Chorley, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Rivington, Anglezarke and Manchester and in Cumbria, particularly around the South Lake District area, for example Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere, Keswick, Hawkshead, Bowness.

Adventure
21
also have a
Canoe Orienteering Course
which is on Coniston Water and adds another element into an orienteering session. Using rafted canoes each team is given their map and set out to collect the markers on the water. It is a great team building session and adds a competitive element to your activity.

Reviews for Orienteering

Dog friendly orienteering- brilliant day!

After a training session on map reading and all the dogs were raring to go, each team set off following the given map and set of clues. Finding the hidden markers at each point, or rather trying to find them as quickly as we could LOL! made a real fun day, and a 4 hour walk for the dog! Dog toys and treats all round at the end. What a great idea. We're (that's humans and dog) are ready for the next one! Definitely recommend. Thanks for a great day Adventure 21!

Canoe orienteering and axe throwing

We are a large group of friends and have been coming to Bowness for different activities with Adventure 21 for many years. We have never been disappointed and always enjoy and have lots of laughs This year we did canoe orienteering and axe throwing and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Can't recommend then highly enough. We will be back again next year without fail.
